Elina Kritzokat (born 1971) is a German-Finnish literary translator and Germanist. She began translating from Finnish into German in 2002. Her work encompasses novels, children’s and young adult literature, nonfiction, poetry, comics, plays, and films. She has translated works by authors including Sofi Oksanen, Leena Krohn, Minna Rytisalo, Raija Siekkinen, and Miika Nousiainen, as well as film dialogue by Aki Kaurismäki. In 2019, she received the Finnish State Prize for Translators into Foreign Languages; in 2022, she was awarded an excellence fellowship from the German Translators’ Fund.
