Elin Hilderbrand

Elin Hilderbrand studied creative writing at Johns Hopkins University and attended the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she earned an MFA in 1998. After briefly working in publishing and as a teacher in New York City, she published her debut novel, Das Strandhotel. It was followed by 29 further novels, many of which reached the New York Times bestseller list. Her 2019 novel Der beste Sommer aller Zeiten was her first book to reach number one on that list. Hilderbrand is the mother of three children.
