Edwin Lefevre

Edwin Lefèvre (1871–1943) was born in Colón, a city that is now part of Panama, and was sent to the United States as a child for his education. At 19, he began working as a journalist and later became a Wall Street speculator. He wrote books and articles about the workings of the stock market. He is best known for a fictionalized account of the life of stock speculator Jesse Livermore, which became a bestseller. Lefèvre died in Dorset, Vermont, in 1943.
