Edvard Hoem

Edvard Hoem, born in 1949 near Molde, Norway, is a Norwegian writer. His work includes novels, plays, poetry and translations, including translations of Shakespeare. He has received several literary awards, including the Brage Prize in 2019, the Norwegian Critics’ Prize and the Ibsen Prize. In 2020, he was appointed Commander of the Order of St. Olav for his services to Norwegian literature.
