Edith Thabet was born in Vienna. Before becoming an author, she worked as a travel agency clerk, an export administrator and in an office serving people with disabilities. She began working as a freelance writer in 1989. She published around 70 children’s and young adult books and wrote numerous screenplays for ORF and ZDF, including “Am, Dam, Des,” “Mimis Villa Schnattermund” and “1, 2 oder 3.” She also contributed articles to the Buchklub magazine “YEP.”
