Edith Hall

Edith Hall, born in 1959, is a British classicist. She was a professor of classics at King’s College London and a co-founder of the Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama at the University of Oxford. She has written several books on Greek history and literature, including a cultural history of Homer’s Odyssey and a history of slavery in antiquity. In 2015, she received the Erasmus Medal of the Academia Europaea for outstanding contributions to European culture and scholarship.
