Eckhard Schumacher

Eckhard Schumacher (born 1966) is a literary scholar. He received his doctorate from Bielefeld University in 1996 with a study of the irony of incomprehensibility, published by Suhrkamp in 2000. From 1997 to 2004, he worked on research projects focusing on media theory, contemporary literature, and pop culture. His publications also include “Gerade Eben Jetzt. Schreibweisen der Gegenwart” (2003). His research focuses on literary and media theory, contemporary literature, and pop culture.
