Dr. Seuss

Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904–1991), known by the pen name Dr. Seuss, was a U.S. author, cartoonist, and documentary filmmaker. He studied English literature at Oxford in the 1920s and, after returning to the United States, initially worked as a gag writer, documentary filmmaker, and cartoonist. His first children’s book was published in the 1950s. Among his best-known works are *The Lorax* and *How the Grinch Stole Christmas!*.
