Dr. Alexandra Berlina

Dr. Alexandra Berlina was born in Moscow and received her doctorate in literary translation in 2012. She works as a translator and editor. Her work includes the German translation of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel The Master and Margarita, published in 2020, with an afterword focusing on the novel’s political background. She has also translated poems by Russian activist and Pussy Riot co-founder Maria Alyokhina into English and worked as a translator and editor for dekoder.org, a media portal specializing in Russia.
