Douglas Coupland

Douglas Coupland was born in 1961 on a NATO base in Germany. In the late 1980s, he began writing for local magazines. His 1991 novel *Generation X* brought him widespread recognition. Coupland subsequently published 14 novels and numerous collections of essays.
