Dorothea Steinbacher

Dorothea Steinbacher was born and raised in the Chiemgau region of Bavaria. She studied folklore and art history in Munich and worked as a publishing editor, freelance writer, and author. Her books focus primarily on Bavaria, customs and traditions, superstition, and cultural history; she also wrote cookbooks. From 2015 onward, she appeared as an expert on customs and traditions on the Bavarian Broadcasting (BR) program “Habe die Ehre.”
