Doris Knecht

Born in Vorarlberg, Doris Knecht is a novelist and columnist. She published columns, among others, in the Falter and the Vorarlberger Nachrichten. Her debut novel, Gruber geht (2011), was nominated for the German Book Prize and adapted for the cinema. Her other novels include Besser (2013), Wald (2015), Alles über Beziehungen (2017), weg (2019), Die Nachricht (2021), and Eine vollständige Liste aller Dinge, die ich vergessen habe (2023). Wald was also adapted for the screen, while Alles über Beziehungen was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize. Knecht received the Literature Prize of the Stiftung Ravensburger and the Buchpreis der Wiener Wirtschaft.
