Doris Gruber, born in 1968, holds a doctorate in the humanities and studied Romance languages and literature as well as English. In 1999, she developed Cushing’s disease; the long search for a diagnosis and the severity of the illness ended her emerging academic career. Following successful surgery and a lengthy recovery, she worked as an NLP coach.
