Donna Freitas

Donna Freitas, born in 1972, is a scholar, professor, and writer. She has authored children’s and young adult books, a memoir, and the novel *The Nine Lives of Rose Napolitano*, her debut novel for adults. Her journalistic work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe. Freitas has taught at several U.S. universities and taught creative writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has also lectured on sexual violence at numerous U.S. colleges.
