Domenico Dara was born in 1971 in Catanzaro, Calabria, and grew up in Girifalco. He is the author of the novels “The Postman of Girifalco, or A Brief History of Chance” and “The Circus of Girifalco.” His debut was nominated for the prestigious Italo Calvino Prize. He has also received, among other honors, the Premio Palmi, the Premio Viadana, and the debut awards of the Premio Corrado Alvaro and the Premio Città di Como.
