Dodo Kresse (born 1961 in Vienna) is an Austrian writer, journalist and essayist. She worked as a freelance journalist for publications including the daily newspaper Der Standard and Wirtschaftswoche, and published short crime fiction and essays in literary and business magazines as well as crime anthologies. Her books include the biographical novel “Nur ein Komödiant?” about Hans Moser, “Handbuch der Gesten,” “Der Petzonaut,” several essay and travel books about Vienna, and “Mona Lisas dunkles Lächeln” (2014). Her writing has been recognized with the Theodor Körner Prize for Literature and the ÖGUT Essay Prize.
