Dodie Smith

Dodie Smith (1896–1990), born Dorothy Gladys Smith in Whitefield, England, was an English novelist and playwright. She studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and initially wrote plays, some under male pseudonyms. Her best-known works include the novel “The Hundred and One Dalmatians,” which was adapted by Disney.
