Dirk Revenstorf

Dirk Revenstorf (born 1939) is a German psychologist and psychotherapist. He was Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Tübingen until his emeritus retirement in 2004. Earlier, he worked at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich and taught at universities in California, Israel, and Mexico. Revenstorf was a trainer in behavioral therapy and hypnotherapy and specialized in couples therapy. He served as president of the Milton Erickson Society and was a founding member of the German-Chinese Academy for Psychotherapy. His awards included the Pierre Janet Award of the International Society of Hypnosis and the research prize of the American Association of Body Psychotherapy. His books include *Wenn das Glück zum Unglück wird* and *Die geheimen Mechanismen der Liebe*.
