Didier Fassin

Didier Fassin (born 1955) is a French social scientist and anthropologist. His professional positions have included a professorship in social science at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and a directorship of studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. He previously served as vice president of Médecins Sans Frontières. His scholarly work has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal of the Swedish Society for Anthropology and Geography in 2016.
