Dick Francis

Dick Francis (1920–2010) was an English jockey and author. For many years, he was among England’s most successful jockeys, until a mysterious fall ended his career in 1956. He then wrote thrillers for nearly five decades, most of them set against the worlds of horse racing and betting. He published 42 novels in total.
