Detlev Ganten

Detlev Ganten, born in Lüneburg in 1941, is a physician and pharmacologist. From 1991 to 2004, he served as founding director of the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin-Buch. He was chairman of the executive board of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin from 2004 to 2008. From 2005 to 2015, he chaired the board of trustees of the Stiftung Charité.
