Detlef Friedrich served as managing director of the IEGUS Institute and founded contec Gesellschaft für Organisationsentwicklung mbH. After working at the Max Planck Institute, he spent around 30 years advising and conducting research in the health and social care sector. He was also one of the co-initiators of the German Society for Controlling in Social Care (DGCS) and the German Society for Integrated Care (DGIV).
