Detlef Bierstedt

Detlef Bierstedt (born 1952 in East Berlin) is a German actor, audiobook and radio-play narrator, and former dubbing actor. From 1973 to 1976, he studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in East Berlin. He subsequently worked at the Hans Otto Theatre in Potsdam and at theatres in Berlin, and appeared in film and television productions. He also became known for providing the German voices of George Clooney, Bill Pullman, John C. Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård and Jonathan Frakes. His television roles included Brinkmann Jr. in “Drei Damen vom Grill” and Berlin mayor Gustav Böß in “Babylon Berlin.” Bierstedt received several awards for his audiobook narrations.
