Derek Penslar

Derek Penslar is a historian specializing in Jewish history. He was William Lee Frost Professor of Jewish History at Harvard University and has pursued a comparative and transnational approach to the subject. His publications include “Shylock’s Children: Economics and Jewish Identity in Modern Europe” (2001) and “Jews and the Military: A History” (2013).
