Deniz Aytekin

Deniz Aytekin was born in Nuremberg in 1978. He studied business administration alongside his work and pursued a career as an entrepreneur in addition to refereeing football. He became a DFB referee in 2004, a Bundesliga referee in 2008, and a FIFA referee in 2011. In the 2018–19 season, the DFB named him Referee of the Year.
