Deborah Ellis

Deborah Ellis is a writer and psychotherapist. For her widely translated Afghanistan trilogy, she spent many months in Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan, speaking with women and girls. The stories she heard and the people she met there inspired the novels “Die Sonne im Gesicht,” “Allein nach Mazar-e Sharif,” and “Am Meer wird es kühl sein.”
