Dea Loher, born in Traunstein in 1964, is a German playwright and prose author. She studied German literature and philosophy in Munich. Her notable plays include “Adam Geist” (1998) and “Das letzte Feuer” (2008), both of which received the Mülheim Drama Prize. Her novel “Bugatti taucht auf” was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2012. Loher received numerous awards, including the Bertolt Brecht Prize, the Else Lasker-Schüler Drama Prize, the Berlin Literature Prize, and the Joseph Breitbach Prize in 2017.
