David Safier

Born in 1966, David Safier is a German author and screenwriter. After training as a journalist, he initially worked in radio and television and began writing screenplays in 1996, including for «Nikola», «Die Camper», «Mein Leben und ich» and the sitcom «Berlin, Berlin». As the main writer of «Berlin, Berlin», he received the Adolf Grimme Award in 2003; the series won an International Emmy in 2004. His novels include «Mieses Karma», «Jesus liebt mich», «Plötzlich Shakespeare», «Happy Family», «Muh», «28 Tage lang», «Mieses Karma hoch 2» and «Miss Merkel». His books have sold in high numbers in Germany and abroad.
