David Morrell

David Morrell was born in 1943 in Kitchener, Ontario. He held a doctorate in literary studies and taught at the University of Iowa from 1970 to 1986. He became particularly known as the creator of John Rambo, a character that established him as an influential writer of modern action thrillers. He also wrote a trilogy featuring the writer and investigator Thomas De Quincey in Victorian England.
