David Gray

David Gray, born in Leipzig in 1973, is the pen name of writer Ulf Torreck. After leaving a degree course in law, he worked as a screenwriter, script doctor and film critic for various local newspapers. He spent extended periods in France, Ireland, the United Kingdom and Nepal. His novels published as David Gray include the crime thrillers Kanakenblues and Sarajevo Disco, as well as the historical novel Wolfwechsel. Under the name Ulf Torreck, he published the historical novels Vor der Finsternis and Fest der Finsternis with Heyne; both deal with the Marquis de Sade.
