David G. Haskell

David G. Haskell is a biologist who served as a professor of biology at the University of the South. In addition to scientific works, he published essays and poetry. His book *The Songs of Trees*—published in German as *Das verborgene Leben des Waldes*—received the National Academies’ Best Book Award in 2013, and he was also a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
