David Emling was born in Karlsruhe in 1987. He earned a doctorate with a dissertation on “Constructions of Justice in the Everyday Life of Professional Politicians.” His literary debut, “Daniels Hang,” was nominated for the 2023 Pfalzpreis Literatur. Emling is a member of the German Writers’ Association and PEN Germany.
