He photographed on all seven continents and worked, among other places, in India and Africa. His books on the technique and art of photography include *The Photographer’s Toolkit*, *The Soul of the Camera*, *Vision & Art*, and *The Heart of the Photograph*. He also founded craftandvision.com, an online platform for photographic education.
