David A. Robertson

David A. Robertson (born 1977) is a member of the Norway House Cree Nation. He grew up in Winnipeg and initially had little connection to his Cree roots. Since 2008, he has published children’s books, graphic novels and prose for adults. With more than 25 books and several awards, he became a bestselling author in Canada. His notable works include the picture book “When We Were Alone” (German: “Als wir allein waren”), which sold more than 50,000 copies in Canada. His books explore, among other subjects, the culture and history of First Nations.
