Daniela Drescher

Daniela Drescher (born 1966 in Munich) is a German illustrator and author of picture books and illustrated children’s books. She studied art therapy and worked for ten years with children as an art therapist in her own practice. During this period, she wrote poems, some of which she illustrated for her own children. This led to her first picture book in 2004. She has since published numerous books, which have been translated into several languages. Recurring themes in her work include nature and social relationships; she is also known for the picture-book characters Pippa and Pelle.
