Daniel Warren Johnson

Daniel Warren Johnson is an author, comic artist, cover artist, and illustrator. A wrestling fan, he has cited Bill Watterson’s “Calvin and Hobbes” as his greatest influence. He gained wider attention in 2012 with “Space-Mullet,” a science-fiction webcomic he wrote and drew that was later published in print. Johnson subsequently worked for major U.S. publishers including DC, Marvel, Image, and Dark Horse. His notable works include the creator-owned series “Murder Falcon” and “Extremity,” as well as “The Ghost Fleet,” created with writer Donny Cates, and “Alabaster: The Good, the Bad, and the Bird,” based on a script by Caitlín R. Kiernan. “Extremity” earned him an Eisner Award nomination.
