Author · 4 books
Daniel Ladinsky (born 1948) is an American poet and author. He is best known for free adaptations and personal interpretations of spiritual texts, particularly the Persian poetry of Hafiz. Rather than presenting his work as scholarly translation, he approached these texts as a way of conveying their underlying spiritual message. Ladinsky was spiritually influenced by Meher Baba and, according to publisher biographies, lived in India with members of Meher Baba’s family and circle of followers.
