Dan Jones

Dan Jones (born 1981) is a historian, journalist and writer. He studied history at the University of Cambridge and wrote for English quality newspapers. He became known for historical non-fiction on British history, the Middle Ages and the early modern period; he also contributed to historical television documentaries and podcasts. His non-fiction works include books on medieval history, the Plantagenets, the Templars and the Crusades. In 2024, he published Essex Dogs, his first historical novel and the opening volume of a trilogy of the same name.
