Dallas Willard (1935–2013) was an American philosopher, spiritual writer, and influential figure in evangelical thought. In addition to holding various teaching positions, he taught philosophy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles for 48 years. His writings addressed such themes as experiencing the presence of God, silence, following Jesus Christ, the kingdom of God, and eternity.
