Dagmar Herrmann

Dagmar Herrmann was born in 1946 in Lohne, Oldenburg, during an evacuation and came from a working-class family in western Bremen. She wrote stories and fairy tales that often drew on the emotional world of children and adolescents, as well as melancholic, ironic and humorous short stories and poems. Her narrative talent was already evident during her school years, when she wrote lengthy letters and expansive essays.
