Cyril Hare

Cyril Hare, the pen name of Alfred Alexander Gordon Clark, was born in 1900 in Mickleham, Surrey, England. He studied law at New College, Oxford, and became a barrister in 1924. Under the name Cyril Hare, he published nine crime novels. He is regarded as a representative of the Golden Age of detective fiction. Hare died in 1985.
