CrimethInc.

CrimethInc., also known as CWC (“CrimethInc. ex-Workers’ Collective”) and Crimethinc, is a decentralized, loose collective with roots in the North American hardcore and anarcho-punk scenes and in activist groups associated with Earth First!, Reclaim the Streets, Food Not Bombs, and Critical Mass. It was strongly influenced by anarchism and Situationism and described itself as anti-capitalist and anti-authoritarian. Through its publications and actions, CrimethInc. questioned conventional views of life, work, politics, and culture and explored emancipatory forms of living. The name refers to the term “Crimethink” from George Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.
