Colin Hadler was born in Graz in 2001. He began performing in theater at the age of twelve and appeared in productions by Next Liberty and the Graz Opera, among others. In 2017, he won the Styrian state speech competition in the “New Voice” category. Hadler wrote poetry, songs, screenplays, and prose. His screenplay for the short film “Mitternachtsblau” was filmed and premiered in 2018. His debut novel, “Hinterm Hasen lauert er,” was published in 2019, followed by “Wenn das Feuer ausgeht” in 2020. His thrillers have been nominated for the GLAUSER and other awards, some have become SPIEGEL bestsellers, and his work has been translated into several languages.
