Clemens Sedmak

Clemens Sedmak (born 1971 in Bad Ischl) is an Austrian theologian and philosopher. His academic career included positions at the University of Salzburg, King’s College London, and the University of Notre Dame in the United States. He also headed the Center for Ethics and Poverty Research at the University of Salzburg and the International Research Center for Social and Ethical Questions in Salzburg. Sedmak earned doctorates in philosophy, theology, and social theory and completed habilitations in fundamental theology and philosophy. He has published numerous books on ethical and existential questions, including Das Gute leben and, with Archbishop Alois Kothgasser, Geben und Vergeben and Quellen des Glücks. Sedmak has three children.
