Claus Cornelius Fischer (1951–2020) was a German journalist, translator, screenwriter and author. He worked for publications including Die Zeit and Die Welt and wrote numerous novels, crime novels and thrillers, as well as screenplays for film and television, including “Blueprint” and episodes of the series “Tatort”. His crime series featuring Amsterdam detective commissaris Bruno van Leeuwen was adapted for television by ZDF and achieved international success. Fischer’s work “Goyas Hand” was nominated for the Aspekte Literature Prize.
