Claudia Rossbacher

Claudia Rossbacher was born in Vienna and studied tourism management. She subsequently worked as a model, advertising copywriter and creative director at international advertising agencies. From 2006 onward, she devoted herself to writing, publishing primarily crime novels and short crime fiction. She became known for her Styrian crime novels featuring LKA investigators Sandra Mohr and Sascha Bergmann, which became bestsellers in Austria. Several titles, including *Steirerblut*, *Steirerkind*, *Steirerkreuz*, *Steirerrausch* and *Steirerstern*, were adapted for television by ORF and ARD. Her awards include the Buchliebling (2014), the Bacchus Prize (2019), the Fine Crime Award (2022), the Golden Decoration of Honour of Styria and the Josef Krainer Heimat Prize for Literature (both 2023).
