Claudia Frank, MD and Privatdozentin, is a psychoanalyst and training analyst of the German Psychoanalytical Association (DPV) and the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA). From 1988 to 2001, she worked in the Department of Psychoanalysis, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at the University of Tübingen, serving most recently as acting head. From 2016 to 2018, she headed the DPV’s central training committee. She was also a guest member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. Frank has published on the theory, technique and history of psychoanalysis, as well as on applied psychoanalysis, including a monograph on Melanie Klein’s first child analyses and writings on Giacometti and Morandi. She was co-editor of the Jahrbuch der Psychoanalyse and edited several books on Kleinian psychoanalysis with Heinz Weiß.
