Clara E. Mattei

Clara E. Mattei, born in Italy in 1988, is an economist. Her academic career includes a professorship in economics at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma and the directorship of its Center for Heterodox Economics. She is the author of The Order of Capital, which has been translated into more than a dozen languages and was named one of the ten best books of 2022 by the Financial Times. Mattei was also the founding president of the Forum for Real Economic Emancipation (FREE).
