Claire Legrand

Claire Legrand, born in Texas in 1986, worked as a musician before turning to writing. She also worked as a librarian and wrote fiction for children and young adults. Her debut novel, *The House of the Missing Children*, received the New York Public Library award for best young adult book in 2012. *Zorngeboren*, which took her thirteen years to write, marked her breakthrough as an author.
