Christopher Steele

Christopher Steele began a 22-year career in the British government in 1987, after graduating from the University of Cambridge, working as a diplomat and intelligence officer. He served in Moscow and Paris and witnessed the collapse of the Soviet Union while posted in Moscow. He later became a leading intelligence expert and government adviser on Russia and the former Soviet Union. In 2009, he founded the private intelligence firm Orbis Business Intelligence.
